Our client is full-service law firm with roots and heritage that can be traced back many years.   Retained by regional businesses and wealthy, private clients around Cheshire, Merseyside and North Wales, the practice enjoys an enviable reputation.

The management team has embarked on a renewed growth strategy and there are ambitious, yet achievable, plans to further develop the business.   Go-getting lawyers looking to play a key and integral role will flourish in this progressive environment.

As a result of immediate client requirements, but also strategic planning for succession, a new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution Lawyer.   In due course, you will manage and lead the team and so the nature of the role requires not less than 8 years' PQE.

The team as a whole covers a diverse range of instructions including:

•    Business Contract Disputes,
•    Partnership, Director and Shareholder issues,
•    Property Litigation,
•    Construction and Building cases,
•    Debt Collection & Insolvency,
•    Professional Negligence,
•    Contentious Probates,
•    Consumer Disputes.

Please note work type preferences can be discussed.

The nature of the role requires a confident and outgoing solicitor with the gravitas to lead and develop a team. Minimum PQE is likely to be in the region of 8yrs PQE.  Applications are also welcome from more experienced litigators.  An immediate following is not required per se (if relocating or moving from a Legal 100 firm with panel appointments etc.), but applicants will be expected to demonstrate a track record in business development activity and of nurturing relationships with clients and referrers as well cross–departmental promotion.   If you are able to introduce clients, this will be reflected in remuneration.

Actis Legal specialises in the North West legal market and with such a detailed knowledge of the region, we are able to provide tailored and bespoke advice to individuals we act for and identify suitable career moves.  All enquiries treated in the strictest of confidence.

** Please note that references to post qualification experience (PQE) are given as a guideline to the competences required for technical, client and case management skills, as well as budgeted salary for the role. We encourage you to apply for any job for which you feel you are a suitable candidate.
