Construction & Engineering Associate (NQ – 4yrs' PQE)

A new opportunity has arisen within the Construction Group. The nature of the role is likely to appeal to a recently qualified solicitor or associate. Applications are welcome from NQs although previous experience in construction law is essential.
The Construction & Engineering Group comprises several market-leading individuals, recognised experts in their field offering combined expertise which is second to one. Receiving excellent mentoring and hands-on experience in this team, you will develop all round skills as a construction lawyer. You will be engaged in a diverse range of instructions including:
• Large scale projects, from development and finance, procurement and execution, and on to project close out.
• Bespoke Contracts and standard form contracting including JCT, NEC, FIDIC, RIBA, NFDC, ICC
• Tendering and Public Procurement Contracts
• Dispute Resolution including arbitration, adjudication, expert determination or litigation through the court system.
Ideally, you will have experience of both contentious and non-contentious construction law, or if in just one aspect you will be open to broadening your experience with support and training in place.

The team is retained by some significant sized organisations, developers and landowner both in the public and private sectors. In addition, there is recognised expertise in acting for SME contractors, sub-contractors, consultants, funders, purchasers, tenants and occupiers. Clients operate across a range of sectors and industries including infrastructure, health, retail, residential, education, leisure, hotels, care & student accommodation, energy and industrial.
